Best.....DVD Player....Period!

Cons: Light around Jog Dial does not dim when you are watching a movie.
The Bottom Line: This is a solid DVD player bridging the gap between true HDTV and DVD. Does not compare to true 1080i HDTV but far surpasses ANY DVD Player on the market!

HD DVD ready or not?

Pros: True digital video outputs using DVI. Faroudja DCDI conditionally. HD upconverter to 720P 1080i
Cons: Confusing setup menu. Poor remote. Sub par video quality
The Bottom Line: HD DVD is not ready. It has to get better than a 0101 proccessor with a DVI output. Otherwise, this is going to become another major marketing mistake.

Review: This Samsung unit is not the first one promised to me to deliver HD performance. An European manufacter name KISS promised to sent me one but never made it. Neither is the US maker call themselves VINC. Though the VINC model should be available now...
