It has only been last year (2009) that Canon abandoned the MPx race and focused on picture quality in this market segment. Cons Aperture dial is a little hard to turn, view finder very small.
Recommended it? Yes

My middle son is interested in photography and he is taking a photograph class. We could not find the old family camera (Canon Powershot S3 IS) so we needed to get a new one. The Canon Powershot S3 IS was also not entirely sufficient for the class.
