This ASUSTeK Motherboard works with multiple processor types from AMD, including the Phenom II, Athlon II, and Sempron 100 series of processors. This AMD computer motherboard is an AMD Socket AM3+ FX that uses a SB950 chipset. The unit uses CeraM!X brand thermal coating, a premium ceramic coating that offers superior heat dissipation to protect the motherboard and computer from overheating. The ASUSTeK SABERTOOTH 990FX Motherboard uses TUF Thermal Radar which provides real-time temperature detection and heat removal for protection from overheating. Excellent motherboard for the price

After rebuilding a system put together buy a "fly by night" system builder, I have no complaints with this motherboard! It is quick, accepts either socket-a Athlons or Athlon XPs, has no networking problems (once you install the driver), and has reasonable support from Asus.

Pros fast and stable and cheap,
Cons difuculties on installing via 4 in 1 drivers
Recommended it? Yes

Had no problems for installing the mobo but installing the via 4 in 1 drivers under windows 98SE was a complete disaster, the system kept asking for the correct drivers although they should have been on de installation CD, under XP no problem whatsoever(dual boot system), After downloading the...
