This ASUSTeK Motherboard works with multiple processor types from AMD, including the Phenom II, Athlon II, and Sempron 100 series of processors. This AMD computer motherboard is an AMD Socket AM3+ FX that uses a SB950 chipset. The unit uses CeraM!X brand thermal coating, a premium ceramic coating that offers superior heat dissipation to protect the motherboard and computer from overheating. The ASUSTeK SABERTOOTH 990FX Motherboard uses TUF Thermal Radar which provides real-time temperature detection and heat removal for protection from overheating. The ASUSTeK Motherboard offers 4 GB of dual channel memory architecture that can be upgraded to 32 GB. At the standard level of memory, the unit is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems. Pros With the UFEI BIOS it is easy to make changes with the mouse.
Cons Too many RMAs, sometimes fails to boot, all to often very poor Support.
Recommended it? No

I have two of the Sabertooth 990FX motherboards and have used them for approximately 1 1/2 years. They have the new UEFI BIOS which is easy to make changes with a mouse but there are some settings that are not explained very well at all which helps make it difficult to set up correctly. The...
