Yamaha's RX-497: Answer to a music lover's prayers

Pros: Sonic clarity, detail and definition. Handsome appearance. Solid construction. Simplicity, with few frills.
Cons: If the remote had larger buttons and readable labels, Yamaha's engineers would get an A+
The Bottom Line: Your search for sonic purity, elegant styling, craftmanship and simplicity has just ended. The RX-497 offers exceptional musical pleasure and step-up features in a neatly priced, handsome package.
