Some revisions include new paint colors of Natural White, Imperial Jade Mica, Horizon Blue Metallic and Cardinal Red. Standard features include driver and passenger side air bags with passenger side cut-off switch, side impact door beams and on Xtracab models, flip-out rear quarter windows. The Xtracab Limited includes standard cruise control, power door locks and windows, deluxe 4-speaker radio with cassette and aluminum wheels. The Tacoma pickup has been carried over with minor alterations for 2002. It is again available as a regular cab, extended cab, or a four-door double cab. Both the regular and extended cab models are equipped with a 2.7L four-cylinder engine, with a 3.4L 190-hp V6 available at extra cost. The double cabs come standard with the V6 and a four-speed automatic transmission. The Tacomas safety features include dual front airbags, side-impact door beams, and available anti-lock brakes. Several upgrade packages are available on the Tacoma, providing features such as off-road suspension (4WD models), alloy wheels, privacy glass, and color-keyed exterior trim.
