Toyota finally adds an extended-cab model to its T100 lineup, and drops the previous V6 for a new 190-horsepower V6. The T100s new Xtracab is available in both DX and SR5 grades, and provides an extra 21.7 inches to the cab. They come equipped with a 60/40 split front bench seat, forward-facing 50/50 split jump seats for three, with accompanying safety belts. The 1996 T100 is available in five models -- 2WD Regular Cab, Xtracab and SR5 Xtracab; 4WD Xtracab and SR5 Xtracab. The 1996 T100 is virtually unchanged with only minor color or trim alterations. Safety features include drivers-side air bag, side impact door beams and five mph bumpers. All T100 cargo beds are built with double-wall construction to improve durability. Cup holders, map pockets and analog instrumentation are all standard interior features. Other features include styled steel wheels, halogen headlights and a full sized spare tire. Pros: Even though the truck is mid-sized, the back seat is very roomy and comfortable.
Cons: These trucks are sometimes hard to find because they are so reliable.

Pros: Reliability, durability, just right interior size, respectable bed size, power.
Cons: Some minor things after 130k, towing is likely better with the domestic full size trucks.
The Bottom Line: Absolutely recommended. Perfect size - bigger than a dakota, but smaller than a full-size. No hesitations to drive it anywhere.
