After 14 front load washer years I am thrilled with my new Speed Queen. 

This machine cleans beautifully and removes all odors.  It has not been able to remove set in stains and gray put there by the front loader (See my review of Whirlpool Duet), but my new whites are staying... Read full review »

Years ago you bought a washer and dryer and they would last at least 20 years. They were built tough and made to last. Pros Clothes smell good and come out fairly dry after a good spin.
Cons Takes much too much time to do a wash

Yes, it's true, this is our fourth High Efficiency washer in two months time! Though the jury is still out on this one, we have high hopes we finally have a machine that will actually clean our clothes and it should, it's near double the price we were paying for the other machines!
