Noise Canceling; 90% Passive, 10% Active

Pros: Good looking package (makes great gift set).
Cons: Electronic noise canceling somewhat ineffective unless earbuds are very tightly fitted into ears.
The Bottom Line: If looking for in-ear headphones, look for the ear bud design to block out noise passively. MDR-NC22 has poor earbud design. Its electronic circuitry does not work well.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I am particularly careful how I don't turn up the music too loud so I could protect my hearing until I am 100.

Pros: For the cost of these ear-buds IMPRESSIVE!!
Cons: Lack of a 2,5 mm plug connector.

Very Good Choice in Noise Cancelling Headphones

Pros: Sound, NC, convenience, price, accessories, and light weight.
Cons: Don't fold completely flat, rely heavily on NC function, a little overboosted.
The Bottom Line: You can spend a lot more to get this kind of quality - both sound and construction - and noise cancelling.
