Pros: Not too hard for a geek to operate
Cons: Freezes or hangs during playback of about 10% of commercial DVDs I've tried
The Bottom Line: There are probably better DVD/VHS Recorder combos. I would not recommend buying this one.

Pros: Fairly simple to set up and use. Surprisingly good picture quality
Cons: Lmitted number of input and output jacks. Does not have a built-in tuner
The Bottom Line: Not a bad dubbing deck for the price. Connection options somewhat lmitted. Surprisingly good picture quality from DVD's that were created from VHS types.

Pros: Offers DVD to VHS and vice versa dubbing.
Cons: Broke after 2 months. Unusable. Waste of $150.
The Bottom Line: It is completely unacceptable for a product like this to break in just 2 months of moderate use. I would avoid Sony until they go back to being reliable.
