A dream MD Player!

byminusflo Dec 27, 2001
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Sleek and high-tech design. Excellent sound and very portable.
Cons Sometimes takes a minute to read Minidiscs made by non-Sony MD recorders.
Recommended it? Yes

The Good:

I am not really into minidiscs as the technology did not become popular and was not supported well by the recording industry. Yes few titles came out back in 1999 but you can hardly see any nowadays. You have to record your own from your collection of CDs to be able to use them... Read full review »

Pros Battery life, size, weight, price, sound, features!
Cons None, aside from the provided NiCad battery.

This is the best Sony MD Player that is produced, without a doubt. It has the most features out of ANY Sony MD player in their "MZ-Exx" series, INCLUDING the E90!

It's features:

- Capable of approx. 40 hrs of playback, with a Nickel Hydride battery (comes with Japan E75's) and a... Read full review »

Recommended it? Yes

A Little Background

If you know all about MD already, skip this first section. MD was born almost 15 years ago in Japan as an alternative not so much to the new and burgeoning CD market/format, but as a higher quality digital alternative to cassette tapes. It would share the erase... Read full review »

The missing link between CD players and MP3 players

byssjakira1 Nov 7, 2006
25 Helpfuls 26 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros No skip, decent amount of space, CD music straight to player - no middleman!
Cons So-so headphones, software can be hard to navigate
Recommended it? Yes

While I was still listening to my walkman and fighting skippage while jogging, my dad finally decided it was time to get himself an MP3 player. He came up with this, the Sony Net MD Walkman. MD stands for MiniDisc. Ok, close, but no cigar. All right, technically it plays MP3s, but it's not the... Read full review »
