not good for my needs

Pros: great image quality
Cons: hassle to setup, limit to about 2 hours recording time

Review: purchased for my 13 year old son.  it's not mac compatable and we had a hard time getting it to work on the pc.  quicktime and mediaplayer won't handle the files so you need to use the sony software - which wants to own every file on your computer...

Very good camcorder

Pros: Light weight and compact, 60x optical zoom, good picture quality
Cons: Poor image stabilization when zoomed in.  Manually select internal or external memory.
The Bottom Line:

Unless you are planning on recording over an hours worth of video a day, I would recommend this camcorder.

Pros: Small, cheap very easy to use
Cons: Very low end video quality
The Bottom Line: Use your head..try before you buy because the video quality is likely to be worse than you expect.
