Poor customer Service from Uniden

Pros: Comfortable size and feel. Great sound. Lots of memory.
Cons: Very,very,very difficult to program preferred frequencies.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: The SC 230 is a fine unit. However, it drastically differs from the accustomed technology and requires considerable clicking and clacking while going through the learning/figuring out process.It is even quite different from the BC92.

Awesome scanner! A+

Pros: Alpha tagging makes it a snap to see who's talking. Easy to program. Very easy.
Cons: None that I could find.

Excellent Scanner with just a few small problems

Pros: Small size, slow battery consumption, good build quality and excellent public service range reception.
Cons: Serial port interface only, mediocre manual, Uniden software is trial ware and not user friendly.
The Bottom Line: A compact multi function scanner; if you want to use its AM / shortwave capability plan on experimenting with antennas, also plan on spending $35 for good programming software.
