Great for the travelling family

Pros: Nice picture, good sound, car adapter included
Cons: Doesn't seem super tough.

Philips DCP850 Portable DVD player is not repairable - BEWARE

Pros: For a very short time this item worked well, apart from bad sound output.
Cons: Not repairable if it breaks, you cannot even purchase the parts.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I purchased one of these units 6 months ago for my daughter aged 9. It broke when she opened it after very little use. I sent it back, hopefully for repair under guarantee. The item was classed as "deliberate damage" therefore not repairable under...

An Amazing DVD Player that does more!

Pros: IPOD, SD memory cards, CD, Mp3, VCD, SVCD, DIVX, Video in and out.
Cons: The built in stand seems a bit flimsy. It could have a bit louder speakers.
The Bottom Line: The only thing this is lacking is the ability to read ebooks (text). It is great for too many uses to list here. Definately worth the money.
