Making the intentional choice to limit the number of megapixels to 10.1 on its CCD, Panasonic was able to give more space for each pixel and also redesigned the peripheral circuits and other components to further minimize noise generation. Pros: Great lense, menu, ease of use, manual modes, raw ability, SDHC compatible.
Cons: Price too high for some. Some noisy pictures at times.
The Bottom Line: This is a camera that beginners wanting a powerful camera and enthusiasts and professionals alike can enjoy. It's often a SLR owner's 'pocket camera.'

Pros: Widescreen, 10mp(sort of), fast autofocus.
Cons: Expensive, Poor quality on all ISO's except ISO100.
The Bottom Line: Walk away from this camera unless you only use ISO100 and have a perfectly lit photo studio.
