Nikon 2x AF teleconverter for AF-S lenses

Pros: excellent price/performance ratio, adds value to existing lenses in your collection

Cons: absolutely REQUIRES perfect technique to maximize results.

The Bottom Line: If you make a living shooting in the 400-600mm range then get a dedicated lens, the rest of you will love the results you get with the TC20E-II

Nikon TC17E-II teleconverter

Pros: Great compromise between the TC20's long reach and the TC14E's low light loss

Cons: Sharp results REQUIRE excellent technique. Focus hunting on F/4 lenses

The Bottom Line: Not as sharp as the TC14E-II but still a strong performer that is better than many stand alone lenses
