These models include the three and four door cargo mini-vans. The cargo mini-van comes equipped with driver and passenger, front and side air bags. More safety features include daytime running lights with automatic headlights on for night time driving. For more added safety the Venture cargo mini-van is available with optional P215/70R-15 touring self sealing tires. The Venture cargo mini-vans engine is designed to go 100,000 miles before requiring a tune-up interval. new LX-SV with 15-inch steel wheels, LX with 16-inch alloy wheels, and top-shelf ES with 17-inch alloys. All have a 200-hp 3.0-liter V6 and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The V6 is based on a design from Ford, Mazdas parent company. ABS is standard. Front side airbags and traction control are optional on LX and standard on ES. MPVs seat seven and have 2nd-row bucket seats that slide together to create a 2-passenger bench. Their 3-place 3rd-row bench folds into the floor. Dual sliding side doors are standard and have windows that roll down. Pros: Nimble, versatile interior, fake wood gone
Cons: Light steering, busy ride, rear seat comfort
The Bottom Line: For most people the Honda Odyssey will be worth the extra money. For those wanting a shorter van, the Pontiac could be a better choice.
