Let me start by saying if you are considering purchasing one of these..put it down and RUN to the nearest exit...that little "tidbit" is for free. I purchased this unit to do a little Geocaching on February 18 of 2008. Out of the box it was a great...

Pros: Working with Radio Shack.
Cons: Battery Life - 10 hours Magellan Customer Service No worthwhile pre-loaded maps
The Bottom Line: Hope your is OK out of the box & don't expect much for the pre-loaded base map.
