The Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. The incredible speed of Wireless-N makes it ideal for media-centric applications like streaming video, gaming, and Voice over IP telephony, and gives you plenty of headroom to run multiple media-intense data streams through the network at the same time, with no degradation in performance. With the Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router at the center of your home or office network, you can share a high-speed Internet connection, files, printers, and multi-player games, and run media-intensive applications at incredible speeds, without the hassle of stringing wires. The Speed, Security, and Coverage You Ever Wanted In A Wireless Network

by quidoo , Jun 4, 2008
Pros: attractive, small, speed, security, range, easy setup, works with wireless g and b devices
Cons: Not worth the cost if home network is centrally located
The Bottom Line: I would recommend to anyone who needs range, security and speed with their wireless network
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The router is sleek looking, small and sits on 4 rubber feet or can be wall mounted. Even though it called a Wireless-N Broadband Router it is backwards compatible with wireless G and B devices. You can configure the router to allow all standard or...

Pay attention if you got WRT160NV2 or WRT160N!

by rnoam , Oct 8, 2008
Pros:

supports N draft
nice design
easy setup

Cons: There are hardware differences between versions of WRD160n.
Getting the better version is difficult to grantee.
The Bottom Line: For heavy users I will reccomend to buy only WRT160N version 1 & 1.1, WRT160N V2.0 should be used only by light users.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: main point was to use the DD-WRT firmware with it, partly following several reviews in Amazon.
Immediately after installation I saw that I can't upgrade my firmware as this is WRT160Nv2 and it apparently uses "Ralink" CPU and not "BROADCOM" cpu...
