Rocky: Still a Mighty Contender

Pros: Very rugged; long-standing reputation; near-commercial quality; relatively quiet
Cons: Price; clumping due to static; finger-guard catches beans; dated design
The Bottom Line: Despite formidable new challengers, Rocky will go the distance. After 19 years, still one of the best burr grinders on the market.

A SERIOUS coffee mill for SERIOUS coffee drinkers.

Pros: Does what it should, and does it well.
Cons: Very heavy and large.
The Bottom Line: A large, heavy coffee mill that doesn't make the mess less costly units always do.

Could be a nice machine were it not for fatal flaws

Pros: Sturdy construction; good quality grind
Cons: Beans get jammed because of narrow opening; glass container likely to break
The Bottom Line: It would not take much for this to be a good machine. But with the fatal flaws that it has, it's a pure waste of money.
