Here's a unique solution for the odd-shaped space or irregular area that does not have mounting points straight across. The ConfigureGate is the only "build your own" gate system. Three 24" interlocking sections adjust in 10° increments and can be angled or set in a straight line as needed. Included in the three piece basic set is a walk through gate section that opens easily in either direction with a one hand adult release. Wall mounted for safety, the ConfigureGate is constructed of strong tubular steel with white non-toxic coating that is warm to the touch and easy to clean. At 28" high, it's great for both children and pets. Measuring is as easy as: Simply determine the area to protect or isolate. Place objects at 24" intervals along the line of the intended gate configuration. Count the number of 24" segments to determine the number of sections needed. Less

Pros Easy set-up, very sturdy, very kid-proof
Cons A little pricier than others, but very worth it.
Recommended it? Yes

This is a great gate for spaces where a normal straight-line gate won't do.  We have this around our downstairs landing, at it works great.  Sturdy metal construction, easy open door for grown-ups but not for toddlers/babies.

I use these locks on my kitchen cabinets.  They work great.  The only problem I can forsee is that if your cabinet hardware is very far apart, the locks may not catch and consequently not work. Read full review »

These locks work great for very little expense.  They do make it a bit of a pain for adults to get into cabinets, but I think any locking system does that.  The only problem with these is if you have a single cabinet on its own.  This style can only work if you have two handles to...
