Pros: Very good mapping, lots and lots of waypoints, very rugged.
Cons: Electronic compass doesn't work very well. The unit is a battery hog.

My son and I are geocachers. I was looking for a GPS receiver that was rugged, could hold a lot of waypoints, had an electronic compass, and had good mapping capabilities. I purchased this unit with Lowrance's optional topographic mapping software...

Pros: Highly visible display, excellent battery life, rugged case, inexpensive software, ease of use
Cons: Hard to read in bright sunlight with sunglasses on.
The Bottom Line: Software is less expensive than most competitors. Moreover, this company has a great customer appreciation attitude. It's like they know they're not the largest, so they try harder!

Pros: Good color screens. Easy navigation of menus.Price
Cons: Poor quality control. Three units that have failed. Maybe it's a bad batch.

Overall I was very impressed with this unit, however I Question the Quality Control on this product.The place I bought it from has a good return policy.
