A Poor Replacement

Pros: None, in my experience.

Cons: Weak output. Weak flex arm. Too compact resulting in operational errors.

The Bottom Line: This unit is too weak a transmitter to make it a viable solution for me. I cannot recommend it.

Review: I purchased this unit 26 April 2008 as a replacement for my previous transmitter after 4 years of faithful service. Unfortunately the old transmitter no longer transmits properly resulting in signals just slightly off channel and in mono.

Smartscan worth the extra $$

Pros: smartscan technology, long cord, blends in well, charges your ipod

Cons: can't light a cigarette if it's plugged in, can be fuzzy sometimes

The Bottom Line: I'm glad I went with this device. I like the long cord and the smartscan technology. It's rarely fuzzy and has a quick start up.
