For 2002, the Savana Passenger Van has been carried over with only minor changes. The 2500 models are available in Base and SLE trim, with either a regular or extended wheelbase. All models feature a 5.7L V-8 coupled with a four-speed automatic transmission. (The 6.5L diesel engine is no longer available for the 2500.) Additional standard equipment on all Savana Passenger Vans includes air conditioning, dual front airbags, child safety seat anchors, and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. Optional upgrades include remote keyless entry, tinted glass, an AM/FM CD stereo, chrome-trimmed wheels, and a trailering package. My favorite Vehicle.

Pros: Lots of space, and power.

Cons: Not quite the most apt snow vehicle.

The Bottom Line: The conversion is the Perfect family vehicle.

Another voyage through strange seas

Pros: It does what I need it to do, reliably and with room.

Cons: Gas mileage is high, climbing in and out is a chore

The Bottom Line: For a wheelchair user who cannot transfer, and who wants to ride with more than two other people, this might be your only option. It does its job.
