Pros: Small, sturdy and very usable.
Cons: Tiny memory card. Unlock code: tiny piece of paper. Calculated routes sometimes border on bizarre.
The Bottom Line: Although this device has some quirks and limitations (see review) I feel that it is highly usable and has worked out great so far.

Ok, so I got this one for Christmas from the in-laws. I usually research my little tinkertoys religiously, but while I had ogled GPS devices before, I had never looked into them seriously before because of cost.
So here are my thoughts...

Pros: Small, lots of feature, nice display, detail base map
Cons: poor reception, no memory expansion
The Bottom Line: Nice compact unit packed with lots of features, but the poor reception makes it only when you using it in an open area.

If you wondering why I pick up the top of the line eTrex along with low end...

Pros: Great device; fun, accurate, and easy to use.
Cons: Poor reception in deep canyons; no external antenna.
The Bottom Line: What a great device! Smart design, and lots of fun to take with you on a hike. Don't leave home (and head to the wilderness) without it.
