Increase Versatility and Protect Pricey GPS Units with a Garmin eTrex Carry Case

Pros: Cheap (under $15), easy to put on/off, belt clip, lanyard connection, leaves buttons exposed

Cons: Velcro tab, top 2 corners exposed, increases glare (unavoidable), belt clip could be bigger

The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend getting something to protect an expensive GPS. This carry case does the job.

Wait until alternatives are available.

Pros: Protects the screen.

Cons: Doesn't protect enough of the GPS; blocks some buttons; belt clip not trustworthy

The Bottom Line: Better than nothing, but deeply flawed.

Review: This review pertains to my experiences using the case with the eTrex Vista C in particular, as I understand that its form factor is slightly different than the other Vista models (even though Garmin says this case is also for the Vista C).

The Best Case for your Garmin 60 Series, Better with Modifications

Pros: Exact fit, hole for belt clip.

Cons: Hard to get on and off, no access for connectors, clear plastic over front.

The Bottom Line: The Garmin 010-10578-00 is your best choice for a form-fitting carrying case for your Garmin 60 Series GPS. It can be made even better with some simple modifications.
