Very Disappointing MWD-460

Pros: small. screen has 4 lines.
Cons: poorly designed, hard to use, too few words.
The Bottom Line: Not what anyone would expect from an electronic dictionary: ease of use and lots of words. Very disappointing.

Franklin BES-1890 Speaking Spanish-English Dictionary

Pros: Fast word lookup, comprehensive, fun to use, good verb conjugations, OK audio pronunciation.
Cons: Loses its place when it shuts off, a little slow to navigate verb tenses.
The Bottom Line: Amazingly useful gadget. It made all the difference during our 3 week trip to Nicaragua. It helps make learning Spanish fun. It also has a great English-English dictionary.
