MTXs RoadThunder Subwoofers were designed from start to finish at the MTX acoustic research labs. The line consists of both 10" and 12" models available with both single and dual voice coils. A new black carbon fiber look to the cone makes these woofers really stand out and look tough. The next most obvious feature is the double row of stitching that binds the cone to the surround fortifying the structural integrity of the woofer. The basket is painted bright fire engine red, a feature that makes the RoadThunder subs look great mounted in either direction. Both the 10" and 12" models feature 1 ½" voice coils, nickel plated compression terminals, insulated tinsel leads, poly-cones and dust caps and foam surrounds. Pros cheap, goes boom, takes lots of power, vibrates mirrors so i can't see anything.
Cons noticeable poor quality compared to expensive subs (duh)
Recommended it? Yes

I have one of these in a sealed box powered by a 250.1 lightning audio amp. When i first started tweaking this thing in my garage, the vibrations almost made my tool rack collapse and i continuously have to check the wire caps cuz they pop off so much. Yea, its not bad ;)

Pros Great sound, great deal, great buy. Get them.
Cons Not the top of the line, or the loudest, but definitely the best bang-for-the-buck.
Recommended it? Yes

I love these subs, I got them for $100 for both at a special deal at Circuit City, and these rock if you can build the box.
