The 2005 Silverado 2500 HD Crew Cab is available in eight models: Work Truck, Base, LS, and LT trims in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. GM offers several engine and transmission combinations, including two gasoline V-8 engines and one turbocharged V-8 diesel. The 6.6L Duramax turbocharged V-8 diesel engine provides 310 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft of torque. Available transmissions include an Allison five-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. Optional packages include the Trailering Equipment Package, a Skid Plate Package, and a Snow Plow Prep Package. Pros: Excellent for hauling lots of stuff including the family.
Cons: No trunk, no standard child safety locks, and no side door air bags.
The Bottom Line: The 2005 Chevrolet Silverado is true to the new, chic wave of big family trucks. It's got the juice and 4X4 power for wet and dry roads.

Pros: Quiet, powerful diesel engine, luxury interior, excellent fit and finish.
Cons: Smokes on hard acceleration due to turbo lag, turbocharger design, High cost of diesel fuel.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this truck. I'm not a professional driver, but I know quality when I see it.

Pros: Robust engine, affordable, great mileage, nice amounts of space, variety of colors, all-wheel drive.
Cons: gas drinker , exspensive repair costs, insurance, doesnt hold too many heavy loads,
The Bottom Line: I would truly recomend this Chevrolet to anyone who has basic hands-on work needs and is really looking for an affordableand reliable van that will accomidate that person

The all new 2006 Chevrolet Express Van seats a family of at least 8 and has features that could accomidate anyone who choses to drive it. With its soft comfortable seats and enough room in it for storage, it sure beats renting a uhaul if u ask me...
