It uses a 4.3-liter V6 and automatic transmission, and is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Seating for up to eight is available. For 2004, the E-Series Wagon is available in XL, XLT, or Chateau trim. The XL and XLT models feature a standard eight-passenger seating configuration, while the Chateau model can seat seven passengers with its first and second row captains chairs configuration. The standard engine has been upgraded from a 4.2L V-6 to a more powerful 4.6L V-8 (with a 5.4L 255 hp V-8 optional). The E-Series Wagons standard features include air conditioning, dual front airbags, tilt steering, and new 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Pros: Towing, power, high clearance, versatility, 8 seat capacity

Cons: In-town gas mileage, lack of newer bells and whistles

The Bottom Line: If its features meet your needs, go for it. You'll become a loyal owner, too.

Review: This is the only minivan that I know of that can tow almost 5000 pounds, have the clearance of a truck, and therefore be a good vehicle both around town and when camping in the National Forests of Arizona.
