A mixed bag, but still an HP

Pros Powerful HP. Nothing better. Period.
Cons HP has decided to borrow from Casio in a few areas.
Recommended it? Yes

A few weeks ago my trusty HP48SX, which has served faithfully for 16 years, vanished. And so it was that I was in need of a new calculator with at least the same power as the old one. And so I purchased a brand new HP50G through Amazon.com

Pros Powerful! Intuitive. The best calculator available for a serious student or professional
Cons A small learning curve moving from TI. Nice but bulky carrying case.
Recommended it? Yes

I have been a die-hard TI fan since the early 1990's. I am a student and professional engineer and I decided to try the HP 50g because HPs are typically the engineer's tool of choice.
