Poor customer Service from Uniden

Pros: Comfortable size and feel. Great sound. Lots of memory.

Cons: Very,very,very difficult to program preferred frequencies.

This reviewer does not recommend this product.

Review: The SC 230 is a fine unit. However, it drastically differs from the accustomed technology and requires considerable clicking and clacking while going through the learning/figuring out process.It is even quite different from the BC92.

Pros: Alpha tagging makes it a snap to see who's talking. Easy to program. Very easy.

Get tuned in with this great little bearcat handheld scanner

Pros: Latest info, road conditions, weather, emergencies and much more. Tuff, small, and portable.

Cons: Way function button works. Light turns off to fast. Volume/Squelch to exposed. Battery life.

The Bottom Line: There are lots of pricey scanners out there but if you're on a budget and want to start scanning, this is the perfect unit with few minor cons.
