Maytag Neptune™ MAH6700A Front Load Washer

Using the Neptune isn't challenging, but maintaining it has been a major challenge. Although we were hoping to maximize the benefits of utilizing a front loader, our hopes were soon diminished. The washer reeks with mildew odor because the manual failed to state that the door should remain open after each use to prevent mildew. I initially thought that the odor was coming from a sump pump back, but soon discovered it was coming from my nearly thousand dollar washer. Needless to say, there has been a lot of back and forth with the Maytag company, but the issue still remains unresolved. I recently learned that there was a class action settlement in 2005, one year prior to purchasing the Neptune. However, it still remains my problem and expense.
