USELESS! and shameful...waste of money!!
Date of Review: Jun 14, 2009
The Bottom Line: DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK unless you want your clothes to smell like musty-sour-filth eventually, and still look unwashed.
does NOT get soil out of clothes. to properly clean clothing the items must be completely submerged in water so do not become a victim of the "high efficency" blarney! there is a golf course on every street corner sucking up the water of communities, yet these mother-earth-lovers with their high efficiency toilets and washers would have you live with stinky dirty underwear and socks and stinky musty towels rather than stand up to over-developement! example: you can't clean or sanitize a kitchen rag with spilled milk, or dirty hiking socks, or baby clothing, or yellowed armpit areas, or anything, no matter how little soiled, unless it is submerged in a good old fashion style wash tub and agitated with soap--otherwise you'll end up with sour-smelling clothing after a while and it'll happen to your bath towels, wash cloths, socks, etc. After 3 loads I sent this GE piece of junk washer right back to the appliance store and bought the Maytag MVWC700VWI with the glass door lid and I love that Maytag--I CONTROL THE WATER LEVEL! HIGH EFFICIENCY WASHERS USELESS AND JUNK! Want to help the environment? then use reusable grocery bags, recycle what you can, and buy organic when possible. But I'm keeping myself and my family clean and smelling fresh with a good old fashioned washer!
