Buyer Beware!! worthless piece of?
Date of Review: Jan 26, 2008
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this unless you like wasting your money/time, poor customer service, possible house fires, and burning plastic. If you do... then this is the machine for you!
I am devastated over this machine! I recently moved into my dream condo and the Equator combo washer/dryer EZ3720CEE/ EZ1720V was already installed (brand new- never used). The first time I tried to use it, there was no working heat from the wash cycle or the dry cycle. I called service, which is in India, and had a difficult time understanding what they were saying. The India service had me do awkward tasks with the innards of the machine and then diagnosed the problem and said they were sending out the part it needed. After several weeks of waiting they sent a local repair company out to "fix" it and to ensure I was using the machine correctly. Apparently, India's diagnosis was wrong, so more parts were sent out. ANOTHER couple of weeks later, the local and grumpy repair guy came back with the new parts and "fixed" it again. I was happy to see that the heat was working, however enraged when it nearly caught on fire several hours after the repairperson left (there were wires and plastic melting on the inside). There are constant parts being sent out and installed and I keep needing to take off of work for the repair people to possible show up. Now, nearly two months of having it, it has NEVER WORKED and nobody seems to be able to fix or replace it.
Needless to say, this has been a complete waste of money, it has consumed my time, ruined my clothes, and the service has been a nightmare. I would not purchase anything from this company ever again.
