Icemaker troubles

Purchased this and spent the next 6 months trying to get the icemaker to perform reliably. Had 8 service calls (4 of them from the LG service tech). After replacing the icemaker twice, a valve, and a pc board, it still wouldn't work. LG customer service was very painful to deal with. Rarely spoke to the same person. I was not allowed talk to a supervisor. But they finally did replace the entire frig. I like it alot--love the frig on top, but service is definitely an issue. I have no confidence that future problems can be repaired by their local technician.
