Fridge Looks Great / Doors are a problem

Pros:  Beautiful styling, lots of space

Cons:  Doors don't close well

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

We wanted a French Door style refrigerator, maximum capacity, with ice and water on the outside. LG was one of the few choices that had all of the features we wanted. It also had the most attractive styling.

The push button electronic controls seem to confuse many of our guests. I guess it is not the most intuitive design for how you select water vs. ice vs. crushed ice. Once you know how to use it, it is not a problem.

The ice maker is limited in ice capacity. Buy an extra bag of ice if you are having a party.

Our biggest complaint is that the doors don't always close completely. The door swings to within a couple of inches and then requires a firmer push to close it all of the way. There is a beeper that chimes most of the time when the door is not closed completely (but not always). I think the design could have been better so that the doors close easily like every other refrigerator we have owned. Could be a problem if you have lots of kids that don't always think to check that the door is firmly pushed closed.
