I am writing this review with the hopes of saving people the time, money and headache that I've gone through. The printer looks great and has some wonderful features, however, it breaks frequently and HPs customer service and replacement policy is terrible.
I should know, in the last 5 months, I've had 4 of these printers all due to it breaking!
I bought my first Photosmart D7360 in March 2007 brand new from Best Buy. A month later the printer suddenly stopped working and showed a "fatal error code". I spent 1+ hours on the phone with HP customer service (which is in India, by the way) before being told that a replacement would be sent to me.
The replacement came and as I later found out, it is standard HP protocol to send a refurbished printer, despite the fact that I had purchased mine brand new.
Within a few weeks, printer #2 started having paper jams and would no longer print. Again, 1+ hours on the phone with HP customer service and the same promise that a replacement would be sent.
A month later, printer #3 breaks, this time it stopped recognizing that there was paper in the paper tray, even when there was ample paper and the tray was properly engaged. This time, after 1+ hours on the phone with HP cust. srvc, I was finally transferred to a non-India customer service rep and was told that they'd now send me a new printer.
The new printer has been installed for less than a week and the paper is already jamming and I'm also getting the message about paper not being in the paper tray. This is printer #4!
Stick a fork in me, I'm done!
The quality of this printer is horrible and HP customer service makes the customer jump through too many hoops to get resolution so that by the time you finally speak to someone who is in a position to help you, you are fuming!
