Brother MFC -240C : A pile of printer for a pittance.

After several HP, Canon, Epson, now Brother. As a serious
photographer I want consistently uniform printing that now seems
to be the case with Brother. The scanner is all as good as my
better than average stand-alone. Text is quicker and sharper than
the others. Graphics are somewhat slower, but at high resolution,what difference. I have a complex photo used as a model and keep dated copies for comparison. There is little difference amongst the works. However, there is one difference; you can tweak Brother and get better results. Copying is quite satisfactory. Several reviewers suggest the unit is plasticky and flimsy: compared to what? If a printer is a 6 in 1, you can expect a busy looking LCD panel. However, in the final analysis, what counts are the products--and they meet or beat the others. Oh, did I mention that this printer
is much quieter than the others by a country mile.
