Best flash player I've ever owned.

In the last 6 months I've purchased and used three portable music players
1. iriver Clix.
2. iPod Nano 2nd Gen.
3. SanDisk Sansa e280.
The Sansa is the best of the bunch.

There are two things that I believe every player should offer:
1. Ability to switch between MSC and MTP. These are both file systems used to transfer data. MSC is the best for me because I like to just transfer my music files from my data CD collection without using any music management software. But if you really want to buy music with a DRM wrapper than you can use MTP and Windows Media Player. The choice is yours.
2. Removable, replaceable battery. On the SanDisk website you will see that they sell a replacement battery for a mere $20 that anyone can replace using just a screwdriver. The battery just snaps into place.
The Sansa e200 series players include both of these essential features.

I really wanted to like the iriver Clix because of it's east to use navigation system but it lacked both of these features. It was also flawed by the fact that you couldn't charge it using an external charger. iriver has just recently started selling an external charger. The Sansa e200 series players can be charged using any brand of USB charger. I use a Sima USB charger.
The ipod lacks a lot of features including the two aforementioned essentials. No FM, no video and no user EQ settings.

The Sansa also 'feels' better in my hand an I actually prefer the mechanical scroll wheel as the ipod wheel zips along way past the song I was trying to go to.

There are things I would like;
An AM tuner, a battery that pops in like a cell phone battery so that I could carry a spare, better video support, the use of standard SD memory instead of micro SD as an expansion chip, display of the bitrate of the song and scrolling options for the display.

The bottom line though is that it does have the essential features, it's easy to navigate and it sounds great.
It's the best portable music player I've ever owned.
