Volume control does not respond

I bought TEAC CD-X10i a few weeks back and noticed that the volume control on the remote and the base unit stops functioning after you have played a song on a CD that is more than 4 minutes long. Isn't that weird? Are you wondering that I have lost my mind? I took the unit back and got another one. Same problem. This volume control stops responding only if the song is longer than 4 minutes. After the volume stopped responding during CD playback, I switched to the tuner and there was no audio until I powered the unit off and turned it back on.

Please try adjusting the volume after a single song has played for over 4 minutes and let me know I am not alone.

This unit is going back to the store again.

Low volume, can hardly hear blow level 15, problem with volume control as described above.
