Love my new MAC Book Pro

The Bottom Line: I would recommend this as a first machine for any home or business user. It is superior to any Windows machine.
It does only have two USB ports, but I am using AIRPORT to connect to the Internet via my wireless router/hub, plus I was able to connect my Targus cooling pad to one USB hub which provides me with 4 additional USB hubs for a total of 5, counting the other one on the laptop.
I have always been a Windows user, with a bit of dabbling in RedHat Linux 9.0. I am very pleased with how fast this machine boots up. That is dues most likely to a better operating system (than Windows XP, et. al.) , the 1000 mhz front size bus, the 6 MB L2 cache on the dual core Intel 2.5 ghz c.p.u. and also the 2 GB of RAM.
I am learning the different command structure and how one uses the operating system differently, from what one is used to with Windows. But I have gotten no "blue screens of death" as I used to get with Windows, and not hang-ups.
I am very pleased with how seamlessly the computer connects to other hardware accessories that are connected to my computer now, including 3 different brand printers a Maxtor backup (external) hard drive and the wireless router.
All and all a very nice machine and worth the extra $$ I believe.
