An ergonomic replacement to the conventional keyboard

Date of Review:  Dec 15, 2006
Review: This is the first time I have bought a Microsoft Natural keyboard. I needed to find an ergonomic replacement for the conventional keyboard because I am feeling pain in my wrists from everyday computer work.

The shape of the keyboard is...

Microsoft's Ergonomic Keyboard

Date of Review:  Jun 28, 2009
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for an ergonomic keyboard and don't mind spending a bit more, the 4000 may be what you're looking for.
Review: I bought the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 about a year ago, when my wife began working from home.  She wanted an ergonomic keyboard, and from the selection at Best Buy, this looked like the best one.

My wife is very happy with...

Good keyboard, but...

Date of Review:  Sep 29, 2008
The Bottom Line: The keyboard gets 2 stars for fulfilling it's requirements of being comfortable & nice to use.  But if keys are rubbing off, no dice.
Review: I had every intention of loving this keyboard. When I went shopping to replace the last one that didn't make it through the dishwasher, I had aspirations of a simple wired split keyboard. Period. Not a terribly critical application, so I felt safe...

Returned two defective keyboards

Date of Review:  Jan 12, 2008
The Bottom Line: Try one out in a store first. If it is comfortable then buy it. Make sure that the keys work properly.
Review: The spacebar should have been split in half. Pressing it at a comfortable typing position usually doesn't feel like it triggers it well and it seems to miss frequently. Try it out an in-store demo first! It feels like trying to press a key from the...

Hope you don't need to use the spacebar

Date of Review:  Aug 1, 2008
The Bottom Line: If you really need an ergonomic keyboard, and can teach your thumb the precise spot to press the space bar then this may work out for your.
Review: This review is for the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard, I've been using numerous keyboards over the last 20 years and touch typing for the last 6 of these years. My purpose in purchasing the Keyboard 400 was to reduce some of the wrist and finger pain...

Best Keyboard Possible

Date of Review:  Sep 27, 2006
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this keyboard above any others. Great for work and play. Extremely comfortable and very durable.
Review: I'm pretty picky about my keyboards and have gone through quite a few. However, I've had this keyboard for a few years now and keep coming back to it.

For me, it's got the right feel. The comfort is perfect. That being said, it certainly...

Buy Something Else

Date of Review:  Feb 1, 2008
The Bottom Line: Pass it by and get something else. It's just too freakin hard to use.
Review: My old Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard finally died after several years of service. The R and E no long work reliably. Since those are two of the most common letter in the alphabet, I asked for a new version of my old faithful keyboard. I really liked...

Very Nice Keyboard - Easy On the Wrists

Date of Review:  Dec 22, 2005
The Bottom Line: Great ergonomic, multi-function keyboard. I recommend getting used to the ergonomic designs to help avoid repetitive stress injuries.
Review: I purchased this keyboard a few weeks ago for my work PC. It replaced an older Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard. The ergonomic keyboards do take a little bit of getting used to, but once you do, it's difficult to go back to a standard keyboard. I've...

Got to love it - eventually

Date of Review:  Apr 16, 2007
The Bottom Line: I recommend this keyboard if you like the ergonomic design. Be aware that it forces installation of MS mouse software as well, which you might not want.
Review: Once I got everything working, I loved this keyboard. The problem was that the installation software complained that it had to remove some other software that might interfere with it. It didn't identify what this other software was, even when it...

Had two, both failed the same way, probably won't get another

Date of Review:  Aug 19, 2009
The Bottom Line: Split keyboard, one of the few still sold.  Switches apparently not the best quality, you may get about 18 months of service with a few hours per day usage.
Review: I also like the natural key layout, I believe it's easier on the hands.  I've had two of these in the last couple of years, they're fine while they last but when the keys start to drop out all you can do is toss it.  Fortunately one of my favorite...
