Great in Great light. Poor in poor light

I bought this camera about 2 years ago. I loved the fact that there was no tapes or DVD's to worry about. I loved the fact that you can pick it up and shoot without worrying about recording over anything. The zoom is great. It could also be used a digital camera too. You can shoot up to 25 hours before transfering to a DVD. I recommend putting it on the ultra fine setting for better quality(only 4.5 hours of filming time)
I quickly found out that if you are inside and the lighting is not BRIGHT then you can barely see what you have filmed. Even with the built in light which is not much help the quality is horrible. Outside in the bright sunshine the quality is great. In a gym with great lighting it is pretty good. In a gym with ok lighting it is dark and hard to see far away subjects.
This camera loves bright lights and especially the sunshine. It is hit and miss for a gym setting and inside the house works better during the day when the sun is also shining through the windows. For the most part I've been pretty happy but I wouldn't buy it again.
During playback - Once I push play on a scene I can not figure out how to get back to the thumbnail scenes I have to power off the camera and start over.
The software for me has been hard to figure out and I am still working on really mastering how to use it.
