iRobot Roomba 560 Robotic Vacuum

After installing hardwood bamboo flooring upstairs and downstairs at my house, I really had no idea how much dust, dog hair, and other random junk would accumulate every week. I drove myself mad pushing a swiffer around every single day. It was just never enough. Weekly vacuuming wasn't enough to take care of the dust and furballs either. On a whim, I bought this Roomba 560 vacuum on eBay and have never been happier with a product. It's great for getting dust out from under furniture and in hard to reach areas. It's also funny to watch my Boston Terriers follow it around.

The Roomba 560 is super easy to use right out of the box. I had no issues setting up the vacuum and scheduling it to clean at certain times. It charges pretty quickly and does a great job. When it's finished, it docks itself and recharges. So easy. It's also intelligent enough to know not to fall down stairs.

There are a few things to be aware of. If you have long hair or live with someone who does - you should know that hair will get caught in all the wheels and can be a real pain to clean out. Some of the wheels are easy to remove and you can get those tangles out easily. But some other moving parts will require a little disassembly to properly clean. You may also have to clean out the traps and trays after every use to keep your Roomba working well. We've found that cleaning it after it runs is easy and actually kind of gratifying. It's nice to see all the dust you didn't have to clean up.

You probably still need to vacuum regularly, but the Roomba 560 has really helped us out between vacuuming.
