Roomba! Roomba! Roomba!

I have a very small condo (approx. 650 sq. ft.). And I have two cats in this tiny space -- so the cat fur tumbleweeds were a big issue. As was the litter scattered on my hardwood floors! So I invested in the Roomba.

I love it! I run it a few times a week, and clean the brush heads every two weeks or so. They do not seem to get too mucked up when running them on the hardwood. If I use it on my throw rugs in my bedroom, it seems to get tangled with hair. Must have something to do with things getting sucked up easier from the smooth surface...or more things caught in my rugs. After 3 years with hardwoods, I don't think I could ever go back to wall-to-wall carpet -- collects too much dirt!

So far I haven't had any problems. He fits under my cabinets (albeit he's a bit scuffed up on top now), goes under my couch, and always manages to cover the entire floor. He does get caught on the fringe of one of my rugs, so I decided to pull it up. I'd rather have hassle-free clean floors than the rug. I guess the newest Roomba model has technology that is better with fringe, so I'm curious for the reviews to come out.

And he hasn't scared the cats yet.
