A fun vacuum cleaner

We bought the Roomba 4150 to take in our RV, because we have limited space and don't have room to take a big vacuum cleaner, and we're tired of crawling around with a hand vacuum. We're using it in the house till we get to go out in the RV.

The Roomba is extremely quiet. It cleans well, but I'd say not as well as my upright vacuum. The way it seems to work best for me is, I set it to do spot cleaning and move it to adjoining areas till most of the carpet is cleaned, then I set it to clean, to finish off the rest of the room, the edges, etc.

After a while, the spot cleaning (where it cleans in a circular pattern in approximately a 3 foot diameter) wasn't working right, so I removed the battery pack for at least 15 minutes, then replaced it and that reset the cleaner, now it works the way it should again.

Sometimes it needs to be rescued, when it gets stuck in a corner or at the edge of the carpeting. The dirt bin is small and needs to be emptied often, and the dirt gets lodged in the slot in front to the dirt bin and needs to be cleaned out, which isn't easy to get at.

All in all, it's a good vacuum cleaner, though I wouldn't get it instead of a regular upright cleaner. But I really don't like having to clean the vacuum cleaner!
