Product Review

Clix2 Rocks

by   moochman26 ,   Mar 28, 2008

Pros:  UMS mode dude! Just drag and drop files from any computer anywhere!

Cons:  None other than 8GB is nice but I'd like to be able to expand.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

These guys thumbs-down reviewers here are full of it and clearly incapable of operating a computer - so they should indeed go waste their money on iPods. For the rest of us, know that the Clix2 works great and is actually superior to the iPods; the Clix is not choked by DRM silliness and has a very smooth user interface. You can just plug into USB port and drag/drop MP3s right onto the player. You don't need Windows Media Player (nobody does). It will work with PFS but also support "open" media formats. There are multiple choices out there for sync'ing to a PC, if you really think you need to do that. Otherwise, you'll find that the UMS mode makes it easy to plug this gem into any computer's USB port and transfer your files either direction without requiring any proprietary PC-side software. iRiver and Conwon are probably the only two major MMP3 vendors out there that have got this right. DRM sucks and this player lets you make a choice.
