Warning: May Very Well Render Your Nano Useless and Neglected

by   pkchoo ,  Sep 12, 2007
Pros: Size, responsive UI, incredibly bright and crisp screen, sound quality, customizable
Cons: Smudge magnet (buy a case), no expansion slot, no USB plug cover
The Bottom Line: If you're in the market for a ~$200 video-enabled player and you're tired of your iPod, I can't think of a better buy than the Clix 2.
Review: When my 1st gen iPod died recently in a freak Caesar salad accident, I thought long and hard about whether I wanted to buy another iPod or take a risk on another company. Fortunately for me, I live on the edge - I bought an iRiver Clix 2 (or Clix Gen ...

AKG 420 use on stage...

by   davey-hoffberg ,  Jan 22, 2006
Pros: Perfect sound and tonal nuance, reliable and comfortable.
Cons: Construction, the size of the foam cap a little too large..
The Bottom Line: This mic is perfect for flutists or any other woodwind instrumentalist who needs full stage freedom, and wants the instrument to sound as it should.
Review: I have had this microphone for over a year now, and have used it on stage for about 9 times. I play Irish traditional music, and I frequently play classic. I use this mic for flute and whistles, which are, I daresay, difficult in any case, but the 420 ...

The Best MP3 player I've had so far!

by   shorty15c4 ,  Nov 15, 2006
Pros: Clear sound,Unique screen buttons, Easy use. Includes free Windows Media Player 11, All Features
Cons: Hard to keep track and download music. Freezes sometimes. Damn finger prints.
The Bottom Line: I truely recommend this player. For newbies, to MP3 lovers. Truely an Ipod killer in its features, but not in its memory size. Overall its the best.
Review: Everything feature in this player is to die for. Everything in this player I love. The size is nice and portable. Very light. The battery life lasts 27 hours on the box; but olny if you listen to 27 hours of music without lighting up the bright screen. ...

A stylish little player

by   branddude ,  Mar 17, 2007
Pros: A nice looking player with loads of features
Cons: A scratch and fingerprint magnet
The Bottom Line: This player looks great, sounds great, and it's light on the pocket and wallet. Give it a shot!
Review: I was looking for alternative to Ipod Nano because I never liked going through iTunes. I picked up an iRiver Clix and I must say it is pretty impressive. The Clix comes with a clear and customizable screen which looks even better then the Nano. It has ...

iRiver Clix 2

by   maryfaith06 ,  Jul 10, 2007
Pros: Very customizable, lots of features, clear and chic
Cons: battery life
The Bottom Line: This player is a beautiful piece of technology, gorgeous screen and sound; excellent interface.
Review: I invested in a 4 GB iRiver Clix 2 after using a Samsung 1 GB player for two years. So far, I've been very impressed with the clix. It's a small size that can fit in your pocket. It is black and very sleek; there is no writing on the front, only ...

Closest thing yet to iPod/iTunes/iTMS integration

by   dfloro ,  Jun 29, 2006
Pros: Small, 2.5 oz. light Bright, clear, colorful 2.2" screen Integrates w/WMP11 & MTV URGE
Cons: 5/8", thicker than iPod nano Video too tiny Req. WinXP SP1/2 Media Player10+
The Bottom Line: Ignore peer pressure to pay more for less, and get this Windows-oriented digital audio player instead of an iPod.
Review: When somebody has almost 80% market share, it's tempting to wonder why anyone else bothers to try to compete. of course, I could be talking about Apple's iPod and iTunes combo in the market for digital music, or I could be talking about the Microsoft ...

Love This MP3 Player!

by   swinneyg ,  Jan 14, 2007
Pros: Easy to use. Great sound. Totally cool!!
Cons: Case could be much better. It needs an open face and a clip.
Review: We purchased the iriver as a Christmas gift. My daughter loves it. I disagree about the ease of use in the previous review. I found it incredibly simple to load music onto the player. We figured out how to use just about every feature without reading the ...

Clix2 Rocks

by   moochman26 ,  Mar 28, 2008
Pros: UMS mode dude! Just drag and drop files from any computer anywhere!
Cons: None other than 8GB is nice but I'd like to be able to expand.
Review: These guys thumbs-down reviewers here are full of it and clearly incapable of operating a computer - so they should indeed go waste their money on iPods. For the rest of us, know that the Clix2 works great and is actually superior to the iPods; the Clix ...

Great little device

by   gonzachus ,  Jul 27, 2006
Pros: -Great screen -Easy to use -Good size
Cons: -No audible support -not larger than 2gig
Review: I bought this for my girlfriend on her birthday because I needed a device that was easy to use and handled subscription music services (sorry Ipod) and it delivers on those counts. The screen is beautiful for a flash player and the UI is very intuitive ...

The Prince of Multifunction Printer Devices Take Two

by   vemartin ,  Oct 6, 2007
Pros: NETWORKABLE!! Full unit functionality over the wired network environment; shared scanning, printing and copying.
Cons: Software is still a little burdensome.
The Bottom Line: If your home office needs a scanner, copier, (photo) printer and fax, the HP Officejet L7860 should be given serious consideration.
Review: The effort to accessorize the modern home office with the latest, or even near-latest, technology can be an expensive and daunting one. Technology seems to move at a lightening pace, and waits for no man to keep pace with the innovations that appear ...
