iPod shuffler...
Date of Review: Aug 9, 2007
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the iPod shuffle. Probably less expensive now that the newer models are out, but pretty much the same thing. Very easy to use anywhere.
I actually won the iPod shuffle I have in a drawing done by my church. I had wanted one for a while, but just never had the extra money to buy one. I had been using an MP3 player for the past couple of years with some satisfaction, but once I got my iPod shuffle, nothing could really compare.
The iPod shuffle is very small, therefore it can fit in your pocket and can pretty much go anywhere with you.
One thing I did not like about the other MP3 player I had was that I had to put music onto a minidisc before I could play it on the MP3 player. Not the case with the iPod shuffle. I could transfer music from my iTunes library directly onto my iPod shuffle with no hassle at all. This made changing the music on my iPod fast and efficient.
iTunes is another great thing that the iPod shuffle works with. Free, easy to use, and as I said before, makes putting songs on my iPod a piece of cake.
The iPod itself is very easy to use. Three fast clicks on the play/pause button makes it start at the beginning of the song list. The only other buttons are forward and backward for songs and the volume buttons. The back has three different settings: off, shuffle, and unshuffled play. It also has a light on the back that tells you how much battery is left. Green means lots of power battery left, yellow is in the middle, and red/orange means you need to charge it. Like I said, very easy to use.
The only down falls to the iPod shuffle I have is that it does not hold as many songs as the 1GB iPod shuffle, it does not have a screen like the Nano/Mini iPod or regular iPod, it cannot clip onto things like the newer iPod shuffles and it only comes in one color, white. Other than that, it's an easy to use, extremely portable, music player.
